Login or Register

Click Register link at the bottom of the left hand column at brycc.org

Enter a user Name, email address and capcha spam protection code. An email will be sent to you with a password and the login link.

Login using your Username and Password, you will be presented with your profile page navigate to the bottom of this page, change your password and save settings. You may then edit the additional options in your profile if necessary.

Access Levels

Depending on you access level you will have several options in the left hand column to allow you to post and or edit content on brycc.org. Starting today all new registrants will have an access level of “Contributor” whis will allow you to submit content to the brycc.org home page, however this content is moderated by the Brick House Board.

If you have already registered please login at brycc.org/wp-admin and verify that you are able to see posting option in the right hand menu. If not contact a brycc.org admin.

Editors in addition to being able to post content to the home page at brycc.org are able to add and update pages such as the NOIZE page or our BYLaws page. If you are not on this list and should be please contact a brycc.org admin.

Next I will walk through the basics of submitting content to brycc.org

How to Post at Brycc.org

Login or register as mentioned above.

On your left you should see one of the menus in the picture.

These settings allow you to submit content and change your profile

To submit content click “Post” and then “Add New”, you should see this screen. The first line is for your title and the second line is for the content of the article. The large text area also has a toolbar to handle things like font size, color, images and media. You will also notice a tab labeled “Visual” and “HTML” which will enable you to insert HTML tags such as embed code from You Tube or other sites.

On you right you have several options for posting. When your writing is ready to be submitted click “Publish” (Editors) or “Submit for review” (Contributors). The “Post Tags” box is for keywords that appear in your article. They are also used when searching for your post. Please select a category for your post, if your post belongs in a category that is not listed choose “uncategorized” and inform an editor that you would like a new category listed. Only editors can add new categories by clicking on “post” then “Categories”, these option can be found on the left hand admin menu.

At the very bottom of the Add New screen you have options to turn comments on or off on the post. this will or will not allow members to post responses to your comments.
